1. Streamline Your Storage with Auto Image Cleanup

Say goodbye to unwanted image clutter! MicrojobEngine now automatically cleans up unused images after 3 days of upload. This helps keep your storage space efficient, for when users upload images during the posting process but don’t complete the post.

Complete Control and Visibility:

Easily disable auto-cleanup: If you have a preferred method for managing unused images, you can simply turn this feature off in MjE Theme Options.
Track image sources: The Media page in List mode now includes an image source filter. This lets you see exactly where uploaded files are coming from, including unused uploads from users.

2. Smoother Sailing: Improved User MicrojobEngine Posting & Editing

Get ready for a more streamlined user experience on your website! This update brings several improvements to the MicrojobEngine posting and editing flow for your users:

Resume Drafts & Renew Archived MicrojobEngines: Did a website user start creating a MicrojobEngine but need to come back later? Now they can easily resume draft MicrojobEngines and renew archived ones. Both options take them back to the posting form with their data prefilled, ready to finalize their MicrojobEngine.

Complete Editing with Confidence: We’ve fixed a bug that caused incomplete data prefill when editing “pending” and “active” MicrojobEngines. Now, all MicrojobEngine details will be accurately displayed for editing by your users.
Enhanced Convenience: We’ve sprinkled in some subtle improvements throughout the flow. Accidental tab closure won’t erase a user’s progress with a confirmation prompt, and the credit checkout modal now displays the payment amount for clear cost review.

3. Streamlined Social Login with Latest Updates

To keep things running smoothly, we’ve updated MicrojobEngine’s social login feature to work with the latest changes from Facebook and Google’s APIs. This ensures a seamless login experience for your users.

Here’s what’s new:

Improved Compatibility: We’ve addressed compatibility issues caused by recent API updates from Facebook and Google. Social login buttons are now back and better than ever, conveniently located at the bottom of the sign-in modal for easy access.
Account Linking: On their first social login, users will be directed to create and link their MicrojobEngine user account. This ensures they maintain access to their MicrojobEngine account even if their social media details change. For subsequent logins, they can simply click the social login button for a quick and easy sign-in.

4. Level Up Your Conversations!

We’ve invested significant effort in revamping the conversation experience in MicrojobEngine v1.5, and you’ll feel the difference! Here’s what you can expect:

4.1. Live Conversations, in both inbox and mJob-order sections

Live Updates in Orders: Conversations within MicrojobEngine orders now update without page reloads, just like regular user-to-user messaging.
Smoother Scrolling: We’ve addressed a bug that caused old messages to appear below newer ones. Say goodbye to confusing message order!
Optimized Performance: We’ve implemented several technical improvements (like replacing the old scroll with OverlayScroll and refactoring the way Heartbeat API is used) to ensure smooth and efficient conversation loading.

4.2. Smarter Notifications:

Read Status: Conversations now track read/unread statuses. You’ll only receive notifications for truly new messages, not for existing unread conversations.
Customizable Email Delays: Control the timing of notification emails. Set a delay in Theme Options to give users a chance to read the message before receiving an email. If they do read it within the delay, the email won’t be sent!
Optimized Notification Sidebar: The notification sidebar now fetches updates more efficiently, reducing server load.

5. Update Efficiency: Faster Checks, Lighter Load

Here’s the deal: updates in MicrojobEngine v1.5 are getting smarter! We’ve made some behind-the-scenes improvements to make the update process smoother and more efficient for everyone.

Fewer Update Calls: In previous versions, MicrojobEngine and its extensions made separate requests to check for updates. We’ve optimized this by combining those checks into a single request. This reduces load times on your WordPress Updates page and frees up resources on our update server.
Faster Checks, Same Security: The update check itself no longer requires a license key, making it quicker. However, a valid license key is still essential for downloading and installing updates.
